For the season 2011-2012, about 12 million doses of influenza vaccine planned for delivery to the Russian regions for vaccination of children and 20 million doses – for vaccination of adults, according to the Ministry of Health and Social Development of the Russian Federation. All vaccines produced in Russia.

At the moment, the incidence of influenza is on non-epidemic level. However, there was reported increased number of influenza-like cases (parainfluenza, adenovirus infection, and respiratory syncytial viral infection). This increase might be caused by the start of activities at schools, universities, and at jobs.

The delivery of vaccines is completed to Far Eastern and Siberian Federal Districts and 50% of vaccines are delivered to Volga and Urals Federal Districts. Delivery to Central, Southern, and North Caucasian Federal Districts is planned in October.
