On distribution of vaccines against tuberculosis in Ukraine

As of 29 September, the Ministry of Health of Ukraine reported that a total of 220 000 doses of vaccine against tuberculosis were purchased. Vaccine produced by SSI, Denmark, received licence for distribution earlier in Ukraine.

 These vaccines are intended for newborns and the distribution process to maternity hospitals has started in the end of September. Vaccination will start from the beginning of October.

The other vaccine against tuberculosis, produced in Russia, is on the last stage of laboratory quality control check. It will be purchased in number of 1mill 800 thousands doses and distributed to the regions. It will cover the whole demand for vaccine against tuberculosis in Ukraine.
