Update on situation with measles in Ukraine

Most of the cases were reported in: Lviv oblast (1,379 cases), Ivano-Frankivsk oblast (826), Zakarpattia oblast (176), Rivne oblast (171), Ternopil oblast (115), Volyn oblast (89). Twenty three suspected cases were reported in Kiev. In other part of the country there were sporadic cases of measles reported, in total 180 cases.

In order to prevent measles a number of antiepidemic measures were performed, including limitation of mass gatherings and hospital visits. Educational institutions previously closed due to the measles outbreak, started to work again.
