Listeriosis diagnosed in Vaasa and Eastern Finland

As of 8 August 2012 the National Institute for Health and Welfare, Finland (THL) reported 10 hospitalised cases of listeriosis in Vaasa in July 2012.

In addition two more cases were reported in Juva and Mikkeli. No deaths were reported. Local authorities together with THL and National Food Authority (Evira) are investigating the outbreak.
